US CyberDome sponsors “no cost” cybersecurity services to campaigns and party committees in adherence to Federal Election Commission guidelines. The objective of our non-profit is to ensure confidence in election outcomes by protecting campaigns and party committees.

There is an ongoing threat to the political process, and campaigns in particular, from foreign government’s interference through cyberattacks.  Campaigns are ill prepared to defend themselves from nation state attack, because their primary purpose is to get their candidate elected.  This means better understood needs like media buys and get out the vote efforts receive the funds instead of less understood needs like cybersecurity.  Campaigns are stood-up quickly, akin to start ups, and cybersecurity may not be a part of a campaign’s quick-moving risk management process.  Even cyber-aware campaigns will not be able to recruit and retain cybersecurity expertise.

US CyberDome was created to fill this void by offering hands on cybersecurity services to assist campaign cybersecurity staff at no cost to the campaigns.  All costs are borne by our donors.  Donor-funded cybersecurity services are made possible by a key Federal Election Commission Advisory Opinion (AO 2018-12).
